Baseball Recap: Northwood Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Northwood not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 20, 2024. They put the hurt on the Portola Bulldogs with a sharp 11-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-1 last Wednesday.

Northwood's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12-1. As for Portola, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.

Coming up, Northwood will head out to take on St. Margaret's at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Timberwolves are facing the Tartans at the right time seeing as the Tartans are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Portola, they will be playing at home against Irvine at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vaqueros' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
