Baseball Recap: Indian Creek Comes Up Short

Indian Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-6 to the Somonauk Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Monday.

Landon Williams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Zakory Nelson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Indian Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Somonauk, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian Creek will head out to face off against Oregon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Somonauk, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Somonauk Bobcats challenge Putnam County Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
