Baseball Game Preview: Juarez Eagles vs. Agricultural Science Cyclones

Juarez hasn't had much luck against Agricultural Science recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Cyclones at 4:00 p.m. Juarez has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Juarez is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 13-1 to Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park.

Juarez saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hector Amador, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Agricultural Science had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Tars with a sharp 16-3 victory. The Cyclones might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Agricultural Science pushed their record up to 12-3-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Juarez, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Juarez suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Agricultural Science when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
