Volleyball Recap: Mount View Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Mount View extended their road winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Hannah Morgan. The Golden Knights skirted past the Summit Christian Academy Falcons 3-2 for which the team can thank Morgan, who had 69 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 20 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Mount View took Summit Christian Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 22-25, 26-24, 15-13.

Mount View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shiann Carter, who had 54 digs and one assist. Those 54 digs gave Carter a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton Fowler, who had 51 digs and four assists.

Mount View's victory bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Summit Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Mount View will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Summers County at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will square off against Pipestem Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
