Soccer Recap: Montour Takes a Loss

Montour fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Chartiers Valley on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Colts by a score of 2-1. Montour were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chartiers Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Montour's goal came courtesy of Tyler Fritzius, who's now up to two this season.

Montour has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Chartiers Valley, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montour will face off against Blackhawk at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chartiers Valley, they will square off against Mt. Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
