Recap: Sandwich Indians vs. Wheaton Academy Warriors
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Sandwich Indians can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Wheaton Academy on Friday, falling 42-7. Sandwich's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wheaton Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brett Kasper, who threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Brandon Kiebles was in the mix as well, providing Wheaton Academy with two touchdowns.
Sandwich's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Wheaton Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Sandwich does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wheaton Academy will head out on the road to face off against St. Laurence at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
