Basketball Recap: Copper Basin Takes a Loss

Copper Basin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 68-30 loss at the hands of the Robbinsville Black Knights. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-8.

Copper Basin's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Robbinsville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Copper Basin has already played their next contest (against Chattanooga Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Robbinsville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Murphy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Robbinsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Murphy likes a good challenge.
