Soccer Game Preview: North Grand vs. Phoenix Military

The North Grand Eagle Owls will square off against the Phoenix Military Firebirds at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Tuesday, North Grand didn't have quite enough to beat Chicago Academy and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Military was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Mansueto.

Phoenix Military's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for North Grand, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

North Grand came up short against Phoenix Military in their previous matchup back in March of 2019, falling 3-1. Can the Eagle Owls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
