Breese Central waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Washington Panthers. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Peyton Benhoff paced Breese Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Benhoff got some help from Austyn Benhoff and her 20 assists.

Breese Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Washington, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Breese Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Edwardsville on the 5th. As for Washington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Decatur Eisenhower on the 5th.
