Softball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale fell victim to Sierra and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Chieftains, falling 15-0. The Cowboys have struggled against the Chieftains recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Sierra, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverdale will host Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverdale's pitchers better be ready for this one: Liberty has averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Sierra, they will be playing at home against Avenal at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Avenal will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Sierra surely won't give up without a fight.
