Basketball Recap: Rappahannock Comes Up Short

Rappahannock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westmoreland Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-48 back in December of 2024.

Rappahannock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Westmoreland, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Rappahannock and Surry County will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Rappahannock is facing Surry County at the right time seeing as Surry County is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Westmoreland, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Middlesex at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
