Softball Recap: Latino College Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

Latino College Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Design Tech Dragons, falling 15-4. The Golden Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dragons from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Latino College Preparatory Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ALEXIS MARTINEZ, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. YULISSA HERNANDEZ was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Latino College Preparatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Design Tech, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Latino College Preparatory Academy and Design Tech will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Latino College Preparatory Academy sees the field they'll take on Luis Valdez Leadership Academy at 3:00 p.m. on April 7. As for Design Tech, their break will end when they face Hill at 4:00 p.m. on April 7.
