Volleyball Game Preview: Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles vs. Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans

The Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles will take on the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cape Fear Christian Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lee Christian just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2.

Cape Fear Christian Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Lee Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 23-25, 22-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Kerr-Vance Academy lost 3-0 to Lawrence Academy on Wednesday.

While Kerr-Vance Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-23, 25-4.

Kerr-Vance Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Everything went Cape Fear Christian Academy's way against Kerr-Vance Academy in their previous matchup on Monday, as Cape Fear Christian Academy made off with a 3-0 win.
