Football Game Preview: Ponaganset Chieftains vs. Rogers Vikings + How To Watch

The Ponaganset Chieftains will head out to take on the Rogers Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ponaganset has five straight victories, Rogers has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Ponaganset's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Hope 47-0. The Chieftains pushed the score to 33-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Wave had no chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Rogers played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Moses Brown and fell 41-7.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ponaganset, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Ponaganset against Rogers in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-7 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Vikings' Hayden Younger, who rushed for 88 yards and one score on only six carries.
