Baseball Recap: Highlands Gets the Win

The Highlands Golden Rams earned an 8-4 victory over the Penn Hills Indians on Thursday.

Highlands let Troy Bielak and Brady Celko run wild. Bielak got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Celko went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Celko has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Beckham Ochoa, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Highlands' win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Penn Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highlands will host Greensburg Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Rams are facing the Golden Lions at the right time seeing as the Golden Lions are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Penn Hills, they will be playing at home against Carrick at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.54 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
