Basketball Recap: Wayland Gets the Win

After losing to Bellingham the last time they met, Wayland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wayland Warriors came out on top against the Bellingham Blackhawks by a score of 42-34 on Friday. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but the Warriors were the better team in the second half.

Wayland now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bellingham, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Wayland will take on Hopedale in a tournament on Monday. Hopedale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season. As for Bellingham, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wellesley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bellingham is facing Wellesley at the right time seeing as Wellesley is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
