Soccer Recap: Apalachee Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lanier, Apalachee was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Newton Rams a 5-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

The win got Apalachee back to even at 1-1. As for Newton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Apalachee is taking a road trip to square off against Providence Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newton, they will be playing at home against Rockdale County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
