Chester hasn't had much luck against Portola recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Chester will head out on the road to face off against Portola at 4:00 p.m. Chester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Chester didn't have quite enough to beat Quincy and fell 4-3.

Chester saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Branch, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Portola was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against Lakeview, falling 9-1. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Portola, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4-1.

Chester beat Portola 8-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chester since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
