Soccer Recap: Waunakee Gets the Win

Waunakee proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Sun Prairie East Cardinals 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Waunakee were the better team in the second half.

Waunakee's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Sun Prairie East, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-2.

Waunakee wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-2 win against Sun Prairie on the 10th. As for Sun Prairie East, they will venture away from home to challenge Oshkosh West at 11:00 a.m. on the 19th.
