Volleyball Recap: Atlantic Coast Find Success + How To Watch

Atlantic Coast took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Yulee, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Stingrays had just enough and edged out the Hornets 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Stingrays have posted since October 12, 2024.

Atlantic Coast wouldn't go down easily and took Yulee into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-22, 25-17, 27-29, 15-9.

Atlantic Coast found their leader in sophomore Guilia Moraes, who had 27 digs and one assist. Those 27 digs set a new season-high mark for Moraes. Morgan Williams also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Atlantic Coast was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive matchups.

Kamryn Batson and Mylie Breutzmann certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Batson had 29 digs and three assists, while Breutzmann had 16 digs and five aces.

Atlantic Coast's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Yulee, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Atlantic Coast has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Stanton on the 23rd. As for Yulee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Fernandina Beach on the 23rd.
