Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bob Jones). Their defense stepped up to hand the Lee Generals a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Generals are ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bob Jones' win bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for Lee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Bob Jones will be taking part in a tournament against Daphne at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Daphne will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Bob Jones surely won't give up without a fight. Lee will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Randolph School at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th.
