The Cape Hatteras Hurricanes will head out to square off against the Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cape Hatteras made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Columbia, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 15-5 win on Monday. Trae Wyatt made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. In other batting news, Cape Hatteras let Wyatt Cannon and Mikie Gavetti run wild. Cannon scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Gavetti scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Cannon a new career-high.
