Basketball Recap: Russell County Falls Short of Pike Road in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Russell County can now relate to. They took a blow against the Pike Road Patriots on Saturday, falling 54-20. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Russell County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Pike Road, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11.

Russell County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pike Road, they are taking a road trip to face off against Park Crossing at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Park Crossing will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Pike Road surely won't give up without a fight.
