Softball Recap: Crystal Lake Central Continues Home Dominance on Monday

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Crystal Lake Central and Central, and Crystal Lake Central kept the tradition alive. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Rockets on Monday. Considering the Tigers have won six games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Crystal Lake Central pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Coincidentally, Crystal Lake Central and Central will both be playing McHenry the next time they take the field. The Rockets will host the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Tigers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
