Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Marly Chase and Payton Cook Lead South Davidson to Victory + How To Watch

The South Davidson Wildcats earned a 3-1 win over the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 16-25, 25-19.

South Davidson was led to victory by Payton Cook and Marly Chase. Cook had nine aces and five assists, while Chase had nine aces. Those nine aces gave Cook a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: South Davidson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

South Davidson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

South Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Asheboro Hybrid Academy on the 19th. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Carver on the 19th.
