Baseball Game Preview: Jal Panthers vs. Mescalero Apache Chiefs

The Jal Panthers will face off against the Mescalero Apache Chiefs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jal will be strutting in after a victory while Mescalero Apache will be coming in after a loss.

Jal is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They blew past Clayton 15-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Adam Juarez was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Cristian Rangel was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Jal was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .577. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .429 that Clayton posted.

Meanwhile, Mescalero Apache was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 22-0 to Silver. The match marked the first time this year in which the Chiefs were not able to get on the board.
