Soccer Game Preview: Wheeling vs. Schaumburg

Wheeling is 0-7 against Schaumburg since April of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Wildcats will host the Saxons at 6:45 p.m. Schaumburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Wheeling, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Wheeling turned things around against Proviso East on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Pirates 2-1.

Meanwhile, Schaumburg came up short against Hersey on Wednesday and fell 4-2. Schaumburg haven't had much luck with Hersey recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Larissa Baldwin and Grace Nelson scored both of Schaumburg's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Schaumburg's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 4-4-2. As for Wheeling, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
