Soccer Game Preview: Cigarroa vs. Martin

The Cigarroa Toros are taking a road trip to face off against the Martin Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cigarroa's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, Cigarroa didn't have quite enough to beat Palmview and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Martin sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Mission on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Martin's win bumped their record up to 3-4-2. As for Cigarroa, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Cigarroa might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Martin when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Can Cigarroa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
