Andrew Cavender made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-6 otherwise. Cavender was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Judah Cannon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.
