South Summit is  a perfect 9-0 against American Leadership Academy since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off,  the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another  at 2:00  p.m. South Summit knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully American Leadership Academy likes a good challenge.
Two weeks ago, South Summit really took it to Providence Hall for the full four quarters, racking up  a  52-8 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  victory against them.
South Summit's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Bryce Pulver, who rushed for 82 yards and two  TDs on only ten carries. Pulver also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  making five total tackles (1.5 for loss) and defending one pass.  Ian Mair was another key passer, throwing for 115 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 South Summit's run defense was locked in: Providence Hall could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. While three picked up at least five  total tackles,  Pulver stood above the rest. He rushed for 82 yards and two  scores on only ten carries. South Summit's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.6 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 10.1 on average over their last five games.
 South Summit didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Jack Johnson and  Brody Larsen. South Summit received some extra help from  William Neff, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
 Meanwhile,  after only 12  points in their last  matchup, American Leadership Academy made sure to put some  points up on the board against Judge Memorial Catholic  last Friday. The Eagles walked away with  a   33-20  victory over the Bulldogs. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Bulldogs on their field since September 13, 2019.
 American Leadership Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for South Summit, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
 Everything came up roses for South Summit against American Leadership Academy when the teams last played  on October 3rd, as the  team secured  a  54-15 win. Do  the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
