Recap: Family Christian Academy Lions vs. North Kissimmee Christian Lions
This season hasn't been kind to the Family Christian Academy Lions, who are still winless after their eighth match. They had to suffer through a rough 83-32 loss at the hands of North Kissimmee Christian. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for zero points.
North Kissimmee Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Morales, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was Morales' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Izaiah Noel, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Family Christian Academy's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for North Kissimmee Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Family Christian Academy will challenge Liberty Christian Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Liberty Christian Prep has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28. North Kissimmee Christian is on the road again on Monday and play against Heritage Christian School at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th.
