Fort Dorchester owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Wando Warriors. The Patriots' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The result came thanks to Mila Lorenzano's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ashton Giet, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Destiny Copeland, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Fort Dorchester's record now sits at 8-0. As for Wando, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Dorchester will welcome Cane Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Cane Bay 4, Fort Dorchester 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Wando, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Covenant Day at 6:00 p.m. Covenant Day will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
