Softball Recap: Coventry Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Coventry waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Streetsboro Rockets with a sharp 11-5 victory. Considering the Comets have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Coventry pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Streetsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Coventry has already played their next game, a 15-5 defeat against Field on the 10th. As for Streetsboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-0 win against Cloverleaf on the 12th.
