Latin fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Timothy Christian on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 9-8. The Romans' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Jackson Darke was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Calvert, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Latin's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Timothy Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-12.

Looking ahead, Latin will square off against St. Patrick at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Timothy Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against St. Edward at 4:30 p.m.
