Softball Recap: Apache Junction Comes Up Short

Apache Junction was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 20-4 to the Florence Gophers.

Apache Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Florence, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apache Junction will square off against Seton Catholic at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Seton Catholic's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Apache Junction's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Florence, they will take on Empire at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Empire will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Florence surely won't give up without a fight.
