Mylie Knight leads a balanced attack to beat Austin

Recap: Orleans Bulldogs vs. Austin Eagles

After losing to the Austin Eagles the last time they met, the Orleans Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Orleans snuck past Austin with a 56-50 victory on Saturday.

Orleans got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mylie Knight out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Alston, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Orleans' win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orleans' road trip will continue as they head out to face Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Mitchell is out to stop a ten-game streak of losses at home. As for Austin, they will head out on the road to square off against Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Austin is ranked 78th).
