Given Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Deerfield Beach is ranked 416th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy found their leader in underclassman Martay Barnes, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Barnes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Derrick Flowers, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Deerfield Beach, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy and Rockledge will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
