Baseball Recap: Norton Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Norton had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Firestone Falcons an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Norton pushed their record up to 20-2-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Firestone, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8.
