Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bruton). Everything went their way against the Jamestown Eagles on Friday as the Bruton Panthers made off with an 80-55 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Brandon Freeman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnathan Hopkins, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 13 points and five steals.

Bruton was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Bruton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Jamestown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bruton will head out to face off against Windsor at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bruton is facing Windsor at the right time seeing as Windsor is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Jamestown, they will head out on the road to square off against Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
