Basketball Game Preview: McQueen Lancers vs. Reno Huskies

McQueen hasn't had much luck against Reno recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The McQueen Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Reno Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

McQueen is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a blow against Spanish Springs, falling 66-32. The game marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Reno has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Manogue on Wednesday.

Reno's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-5. As for McQueen, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

McQueen was taken down by Reno 74-38 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Thankfully for McQueen, Aidan Casey (who went 9 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
