Baseball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Archbishop Carroll's offense. They came up short against the La Salle College Explorers on Wednesday, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly ten runs.

Archbishop Carroll got a good showing from Mark Fohner, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits Fohner has allowed since back in April of 2024.

Archbishop Carroll is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for La Salle College, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Archbishop Carroll didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-3 victory against Upper Darby on the 28th. As for La Salle College, they will venture away from home to take on Haverford School at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Haverford School will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something La Salle College surely won't give up without a fight.
