Basketball Recap: Simi Valley Pioneers vs. Schurr Spartans
Simi Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Schurr Spartans.

Andrew Oglivie and Trevor Hiscocks certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Oglivie went 5 of 9 en route to 10 points along with six boards and three steals, while Hiscocks posted six points along with nine boards and seven assists. Hiscocks has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Joaquin Cunanan was another key player, putting up six points.
Even though they lost, Simi Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.
