Volleyball Recap: Big Rapids Starts Season with Victory at Home

Big Rapids gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They skirted past the Comstock Park Panthers 3-2. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Big Rapids took Comstock Park into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 16-25, 20-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Looking ahead, Big Rapids will challenge Cedar Springs at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Comstock Park, they will square off against Reed City at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
