Baseball Recap: Mullen Mustangs vs. Smoky Hill Buffaloes
Mullen extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-9 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Smoky Hill Buffaloes. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffaloes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Sam Waller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Griffith Dings was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
