After losing to Madison County the last time they met, Clarke Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gladiators came out on top against the Red Raiders by a score of 46-34 on Tuesday. Those 46 points were actually the fewest the Gladiators have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Clarke Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taalid Gipson, who posted nine points and five boards. Gipson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrea Cox, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Clarke Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

The victory got Clarke Central back to even at 3-3. As for Madison County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Clarke Central will challenge Greene County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison County, they will face off against Elbert County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
