Soccer Recap: Rhode Island School for the Deaf Starts Season with Loss at Home

Rhode Island School for the Deaf unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell 4-2 to the American School for the Deaf Tigers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Rhode Island School for the Deaf of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Ockie D and Jeanett P scored both of Rhode Island School for the Deaf's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The victory got American School for the Deaf back to even at 1-1.

Rhode Island School for the Deaf has already played their next contest, a 6-3 loss against Highlander Charter on the 18th. As for American School for the Deaf, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Lexington School for the Deaf on the 17th.
