Baseball Game Preview: Central Eagles vs. North Central Knights

The Central Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the North Central Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Central and six for North Central dating back to last season.

Central came up short against Cheraw on Thursday, falling 10-1.

Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Branham, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. Branham also scored a run, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, North Central scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 12-7 to McBee.

Cauthen Branham and Ashton Brazell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Branham scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Brazell scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, Brazell posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Central suffered a grim 12-5 defeat to North Central in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
