Soccer Recap: Greenfield Beats South Lenoir for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenfield). Everything went their way against the South Lenoir Blue Devils on Saturday as the Greenfield Knights made off with a 6-1 win. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 250th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sydney Coolbaugh and Avery Williams scored all six of Greenfield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Greenfield has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against John Paul II Catholic on the 10th. As for South Lenoir, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 loss against East Duplin on the 14th.
