Softball Recap: Upper St. Clair Has No Trouble Against Peters Township

Upper St. Clair barely beat Peters Township the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Indians a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

The team relied heavily on Caroline Barnard, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sydney Fisher, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Upper St. Clair always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peters Township only posted an OBP of .318.

The victory got Upper St. Clair back to even at 8-8. As for Peters Township, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

As of now, neither Upper St. Clair nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
