Football Game Preview: Hixson Wildcats vs. Signal Mountain Eagles + How To Watch

The Hixson Wildcats will square off against the Signal Mountain Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hixson will be strutting in after a win while Signal Mountain will be coming in after a loss.

Hixson's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 34-0 victory over East Ridge. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won five in a row.

Jake Pollock went supernova, rushing for 31 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 141 yards and one touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes. Ryan Burney did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 128 receiving yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hixson's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Alfonso Rivezzo with two.

Meanwhile, Signal Mountain didn't have quite enough to beat Loudon on Friday and fell 20-17. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Redskins: they've now lost seven in a row.

Signal Mountain now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Hixson, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-5.
